What the hell is with this procrastination thing? Why do I give myself such a hard time trying to kick the habits I dislike the most?

Grrrrr.
I'm doing it tonight. Both of them, getting checked off my to do list. I decided I wouldn't be scrambling to catch up with school anymore. I'm learning to stay ahead now, so if/when I end up in grad school of what ever sort, I won't fuck up and flunk out.

Good for you! I'm gonna try and kick that procrastination habit this year too.

See, I've said 'try' too many times. I am, god damn it!
Thanks though. :rose:

Bel - Oh shush you. The history channel is a beautiful thing, and another very good reason to not own a tv. :p

lol, the only reason I say TRY is because I know that I'm not likely to last a week without procrastinating.

I know the feeling babe. It comes down to a stubborn determination to get over it. I don't get to sleep tonight until I'm done. I know I'll feel icky tomorrow if I don't sleep, therefore I'd rather get the stuff done than stay up all night and then feel like I didn't accomplish anything and I didn't get any sleep on top of that. :p

Bel- Shush, there's something wrong with your head, and your eyesight now that I mention it.

Actually, I found spreading the work load out over the period of time until it's do has worked much better for me in the past. Do a little bit, then take a break, then do a little more. I find it does no good tjust sitting there and trying to do the whole assignment in one goal, unless it's a small/easy asignment. I read you're supposed to take like a five minute break for every 15 minutes of work you do or something like that. Seems to work for me. :) Good luck!

Oh, that I definitely agree with. It's just when my breaks come before starting, and end up days long that it becomes procrastination for me. I heard a 5 minute stand up, walk around, do something totally different, preferably physically active, break for every hour of sitting and studying. Time to read more. ;)
Good luck for your studies as well. :rose:

Thanks, only one quarter left! :D

Yay, Futurama, an ice cream cone and a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. Does it get any better than this? :D

All these leaves falling to the ground during autumn . . . do they have a choice whether they want to fall or not, and whether they're ready at a particular moment to fall? Is it the same for all or do some have choices and others don't? Or is it absolutely random?

I think that, like human beings, once you get tired of hanging on, you let go.

So, the leaves let go sometimes out of need, sometimes out of choice. But remember, it's a process in the circle of life...

That is just it . . . Being on a tree is the biggest part of their life. I don't think they're "hanging on". They just are.

Process in the circle of Life? Yes! :rose:

The older I get, the less use I have for those who are heedlessly cruel.

Cruelty with a purpose, I understand, and consider a tool. I understand confrontation and conflagration.

But I have no use for the popular kids in the back of class, laughing at their own cleverness for picking on someone beyond their own clique. It gives the calculated application of arsenic and heavy metal-laced water an entirely new appeal.

But then again, I am an admittedly intolerant and sadistic bitch.
