They should've used more than one guy for the Oompa Loompas in the new Willy Wonka movie. One guy just looks stupid. *nods*

Blurt: I hate this I hate this I hate this I hate this I hate this.

Thanks

And now, for 20 straight hours of software installing.

With a screaming, teething, fussy son to take care of today by myself....the only thing that makes him feel better is Mom and she's hours away, visiting her sisters and mother.

Kill me.

Does anyone know what the following phrases mean in German?

Der Wille zur Macht
Jenseits von Gut und Bose (the o in Bose has those two dots above it, but I don't know how to type that).
Also Sprach Zarathustra

Thanks in advance. :)

Rough translations through Babelfish:

The will to power
Beyond of property and ? (I couldn't find what Bose means)
Thus spoke Zarathustra

Der Wille zur Macht = I can only pick out words on this one, as they don't make sense to me out of context. "Der Wille" is "the will." "Macht" is "power." Maybe something like "from the will to power..." or in context, the will provides the power/strength?

Jenseits von Gut und Böse = "Gut" is "good." I think "Böse" is bad. Not sure about Jenseits... Babelfish translate it as "beyond." Maybe "beyond good and bad?"

Sprach Zarathustra = "said Zarathustra" (Zarathustra is a name, I believe.)

Thanks Aurora and McKenna. As odd as it may sound those translations actually make a lot of sense to me, so I'm sure you're right. :) That'd been bugging me for a while.

"Beyond Good and Evil," perhaps. I've heard that phrase before.

Yep, Nietzsche. We'll have to agree to disagree about him, my friend. :D

He only said one wise thing.

"Beware when you battle monsters,
lest you become a monster.
And as you gaze into the abyss,
the abyss gazes also,
into you."

The rest of his stuff is just the usual looking for reasons to put aside responsibility.
