I don't keep the sent mail. If I have to, I keep it on my computer or on a floppy or something, but they take up so much room, and you need that room for really hot PMs you get from ahem...others. Once a week is good tho.

I used to not save sent, but then I needed something I did send and I didn't have it. . . Now... my PM here on Lit. I've never had overstuffed. . .lol... I just cleared 450 + sent items from my yahoo... that was toooooooo darn much.

I think it was Mat who told be about the "download" button on the bottom of the PM page. I right-click on "text", select "save target as," choose or create a file for them to go to (like C: PMs 7-06), and voila - PMs all in a nice file I can open and navigate in word. Then comes the hard part: Deleting all PMs in a single mass action, which still is scary even after triple checking that they are all nicely saved elsewhere.

Since I started doing this 6 weeks ago I send more PMs, save all I send and recieve, and when the box gets full it only takes five minutes to save the whole thing into a text file.
