Book blurt

I almost hate it when i finish a good book. It's over you know. I mean I could re-read it or start the series over yet again, but it doesn't make the feeling go away. It makes me almost not want to read it in the first place.

It takes so long to find a book I enjoy it sucks when the last page is read. Not to mention that I have fallen into a rut in my reading. Kim Harrison takes up more of my time than I would like to admit but so do the people who are using her idea. Sure if you want to think about it she is using someone elses idea, but it is like she was the test for the market and once her books did ok, the rest came through.

My god I have read some horrible vampire books lately. I used to really like the vampire lore and thought I could write a good vampire book, but I don't think I will. I mean, what can I say that hasn't already been said? That and I don't want to just write a vampire book because there is an audience for it. Some of them are horrible smut disguised as vampire books. Don't get me wrong I likes me some smut, but this isn't the good stuff.

If you see a book called Night Prayers, do not read it. Horrible book. A stripper vampire, that is a fresh idea, wait we'll make it an entire club of them and the door-man is a priest! Wow, that calls for an early lunch and long weekend guys.

Sorry, jealous. I mean some of the crap I read makes me mad. It is like, I can write better than this but here I am not on the shelves.
