First Time would be a decent category with a sizable following. The others I'm not so sure about. Or I could flip it from a hetro story to a gay male story that could work too. I'm not going to try to write lesbian stories, I'm not that creative.

I am so not a comment/rating whore.... I actually had to have someone TELL me I was in the running for monthly awards and annual awards. I think I check my ratings about once a month to see if the trolls have been feasting or not.

I do it less than that. I used to be compulsive about my scores, checking every day, and keeping an Excel spreadsheet showing each day's scores, so I could pinpoint when something changed or went wrong. One time, it was actually worth it, as I could point out to Laurel that ALL my stories had been voted on, overnight, and every single one of them had moved down the voting. I know some of my stories are pretty average, but I also know that at least one or two are pretty good. So in this case, it HAD to be deliberate. Eventually the scores were removed. But since I haven't written anything in around 18 months, I rarely go and look. I did the other day, and found a few new pc's which was nice to see.

For you non-yanks the IRS is the Tax People....They tried to tell me I owed the 40,000 dollars for 2004...one of their clerks typed in $92,300.00 when the amount on my tax form read 923.00....

My accountant sent them a nicely worded "hey idiot Letter" and amended my tax form......Now they owe me 1,400. I'm trying to find out when I'm getting it back...
