Yui that almost made me cry.

Big hugs to the both of you.

And my blurt: I'm always better until I try to talk to him and try to find some kind of connection. But let's face it: it's only obligation that makes us friendly now and I really need to stop looking for my self-worth in the way others think of me. Surely, I'm still an interesting and lovable person even if no one loves me or is interested.

yeah. kats really shaken up. her car is fodder for the rust farm now... shes covered in bruises but shell be fine after a spell.
she doesnt really remember what happened except during and after the crash. i think she just spaced out and hit the van infront of her going at a really good clip.

Oh no!
Poor Kat, that's such an awful thing to go through. I'm so glad she's in one piece. Cars are replacable, people are not.
I hope she heals up and feels better soon. She's got two great people to take care of her.

Babe, I love you. Everyone in Texas, or who was in tx, loves you. You're too sweet to not love. I might skip over interesting and go straight to intriguing to describe you though. ;)

I'd tell you two to hush, cept I'm enjoying the compliments too much. :)
Seriously, tho, thank you both. And I feel the same way about both of you.

Now, Vella, go to bed and snuggle with the wife. You need to get some rest after the evening you've had.

I'm so glad to hear Kat's OK, vella. *HUGS*
thanks handsome. hugs are much appreciated.

SJ~ gorgeous woman. i'm just about off to bed wiff da wife. just needing a moment to decompress...vent ... you know, just blow off some pent up angst before hitting the pillahs... but cuddle we will for sure.

Did someone say pillahs?

I believe bed is the only thing that will let my neck begin unwinding ... okay, it's not really the bed but the bedwarmer that cures what ails me.

Thank you all for your love and support. It's been a helluva day, and it's nice to know that we've got friends and loved ones that are always here and always have goodness to send our way. You're invaluable. Each and every one of you.

You ARE an interesting and lovable person. Plenty of us here love you ....and I'm quite sure several are 'interested'.

Positive thoughts oh voluptuous one, if you don't love you, how on earth can anyone else.

*holding you in a long, long hug*

There's a reason for this post????

Be damned if I know. It's the ramblings of a tired, crazy woman.

Let's see.... a reason....

1. I'm nothing but a number?
2. I should've been a lawyer?
3. Statistics are fun?;)

Tired, crazy woman........get some sleep. :rose:
In our society, we are all only visible by the numbers attached to us...bank account, social security, employee number, credit card, telephone....everything that we take part in in our lives seems to start of by giving us a number. Wierd, isn't it. Maybe one day, someone will come up with a system, whereby we are given one number at birth, and that number will cover everything from then on.....instead of having to remember my 'mother's maiden name', or give my date of birth......those security checks are really silly.

See, now you've got me rambling. Must be catching.

:)

Oh, I love the "mother's maiden name" question! Specifically, because the first time I was asked it, I used my step mom's and not my birth mother's, which means now, every time I have to answer, I cannot remember which mother's surname...

Needless to say I get it wrong every time.

One number at birth? Hmmnn... I think we're much to complicated for that. Multi-layered. And numbers are so tangibly impersonal. I'd prefer if we could each have our DNA decoded into something visible - and that could be used for everything.

Question is, how do we visualise DNA?

Personally, for me, a Turner painting. ;) Or maybe one of the pre-raphaelites, not sure. Or a Sculpture. Or a picture of my loved ones?? The possibilities are endless.

You do realise, I'm sure, that this would make a great thread...;)

Indeed they are... Although, those are all things that would represent or symbolise you. But if the issue is about identification, how would we ensure those things are unmistakably "us"? How can we make a Turner painting scream "mat" if someone had to look at it?

It would have to have the word 'mat' somehow integrated into a particular cloud formation, the smoke from a steam train, or maybe in the flowers in Ophelia's hair. Cool. :)

Two rejections in one day... and neither of them have ANY views... this is just weird even for Lit.

You're right of course. Can I come sit in your lap for a bit? ;)

Neon- does that mean you can meet some stateside lit folks in 2007??? :)
