That will be cool, I just got to go to Shenzen, across the border from Hong Kong. Was there a week on business. I was really cool. The food was great and the people were really nice.

Good luck and enjoy! :D

I keep hearing that the food is fabulous... I can't wait to indulge! I just got my immunizations today. I'm all set to go except for the visa part. :)

Nerina will definitely be going. :) What would I do without her? Especially considering how I "found" her! ;)

She's something else. I had much contact with her today :cathappy: Thank you for introducing us.

Hmmm...when I applied for a visa I had to have a letter from a company in China inviting me there, they had to take the responsibility for me while I was there. Is it still the same now?

Yes, no, maybe? The company is arranging the visa. I think you can get different types of visas depending on they type of visit you will be having, i.e. tourism, business, etc. I also know you can get extended visas, visas that will allow you to go in and out of the country for, say, the length of a year. All I know is that my passport and immunization record will go to the Chinese embassy along with a (what I consider) a substantial fee ($200?!) and I will (hopefully) be issued a visa.

Jeez, I use parentheticals like Ami uses ellipses...

That's what I had to do, except my company paid the $200. You can get a single entry or a multiple entry visa, I don't think they care why your coming just that there is someone in country to say they want you there. :)

Shanghai, primarily, though I believe I'll take a river cruise down the Yangze River.

Wow.

:)

Chance of a lifetime.
Enjoy it. It is incredible. Check out Li Bai. Poetry that speaks across time, eh?

Peace,

Yui

Let me know who you need me to beat up. :rose:

How can I post this sad blurt when you two are carrying on like mad-in-love teens?

:D

A Blurt....

Memories of you
Are twisted in my emotions
Snarling them up.
Not able to pull them out, running
my fingers through my emotions
Tangles me worse,
When I find how tightly you
Have woven yourself into my life
Hope for life without tears
Life without fears
Is gone. Hope has left with you.
With the back door slamming its goodbye.
Goodbye. To yesterday and smiles.
Hello to drab days whirling leaves
When the wind blows. Out of sequence
With perspective. I let the backdoor slam too.

I'm not as think as you drunk I am. Really.

Mmmm. Red wine.

Old Blurt.......

Red Wine

her finger swirls
round the rim
of the wineglass
ruby lips
red wine
sultry eyes
pensive, downcast
her finger slips
into the glass
absently
she licks it
clean
a drop escapes
white silk blouse
wine spot
unnoticed
except two tables
away
