anyway, at first, it was so odd trying to find my center but as soon as i did, i was racing on campus. what a hoot! i never thought i would enjoy it half as much as i did.
tres coolio. and...no emmisions at all.

Mom wouldn't let me talk to Dad yesterday, as she thought I was being a tad undiplomatic. She told me she would ask if he could possibly have gone home with one or more of my Phillips' heads. This morning, she gave me two brand-new screwdrivers, and said Dad is sure he doesn't have any of mine, but these are a gift. I know I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but I can't help but notice these are exactly like Dad's, so if (when?) he swipes these, I'll never be able to prove ownership.
At least I can get my garden arch assembled now!

oggbashan said:In my back garden I have a composting bin with a domed cover.
This afternoon, after heavy rain this morning, the lawn was covered with birds hunting insects. Some were sitting on the fences and other vantage points waiting to swoop down on their prey.
A young sparrow decided that the composting bin's cover would make a good perch. He landed but the plastic surface was too slippery. He slid to the edge and fell off, flapping his wings to fly before he hit the ground.
An older sparrow seemed to decide that he'd show the youngster how to perch properly. He too slid off in a flurry of frantic wingbeats.
For a few minutes a succession of sparrows tried perching on the domed cover. Each one fell off, or were they enjoying the slide?
