10+ hours by car, I'm thinking.

From Columbus, it's about 11 1/2 hours, but we always went through Pennsylvania, where the speed limit was/is 55.

Have you given any thought to taking just one or two puffs when the cravings get intense, and doing that as infrequently as possible? There are some studies that show tapering off is far more effective than cold turkey.

Then again, it could be that "just a puff now and then" would be roughly akin to "just a pint of gasoline on the fire."

I really wish there were, but there's not much anyone can do at the moment. I'm trapped in a wait and see situation, one that will very likely end in a way that causes me lots and lots of problems.
