Indeed you do. On one of the Special Features on the Blues Brothers DVD, there's a story of Cab going in to the studio to record that song for the part of the movie where he sings it, but it wasn't coming out right. Finally, Cab comes storming out of the studio and says "Well, how in the Hell do you want me to sing it?"
The music director says, "I want you to sing it the way Cab Calloway would sing it."
Cab stomps back into the studio...one take, the song is perfect. Cab comes back out. "Why didn't you say so in the first place?"
