I missed McKenna a lot, I just noticed. I hope you're feeling okay! :rose:

Hello Jen, welcome back. :rose: We all need breaks from Lit. Good on you for knowing your boundaries.

I'm well, just extremeley disappointed in someone I once esteemed. Lesson learned, I won't make that mistake twice.

Stay as long as you like. It's always good to have new or "returning" personalities add a breath of fresh air to the forums. :)

You know, it's just occurred to me - and I have no idea why - has anyone seen Lucifer Carroll about? Haven't seen the lad in ages.

He showed up a couple of weeks ago, briefly, but I haven't seen him around since then.

I miss him. :(

Thank you, McKenna. :) Disappointment sucks, especially in a case such as yours *hugs*

And yes, I'll stay for a while, I'm sure. It always takes me a while to get back in the flow of things, but I think I'm doing well so far :cathappy:

Ah, how I love the Herne's Egg. :D

Now if I can just remember the seventh bloody color permitted to the ancient kings of Ulster, my evening will be complete. I could swear it's not purple, but I can't remember if they're playing that "crimson and red are two different colors" game again, or if it's something deceptively simple like brown.

What? It's for a story. :)

I'm thinking it's black, white, red, green, blue, and yellow - but good point. I might be wrong on them and be throwing the whole thing off. I wish I had my O'Curry handy.

Free class - yellow, black, white, blay. Noble grade - red, green, brown. Royalty - Purple and blue. Only the Scottish high king could wear a pur ple stripe in his tartan. The shields of the five provinces of Ireland (Leinster, Munster, Connacht, Ulster and Meath) contain the colors: red, gold, white, blue, green, black and purple.

You rock. :D For some reason my brain kept insisting it couldn't be purple.

i know. ;)

It was, but purple was fairly rare. It was expensive to get, since it was made either from snail parts or by overdyeing (which is a serious pain in the toches).

Note to self: set alarm clock before beginning writing. Preferably set it for slightly earlier than "Oh dear God, it's what o'clock?! And I have to be up in the morning?!"

That's the worst of it. I have to be up in five hours and I still don't want to go to bed.

*sigh*

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow.

'Night all.

I think I have finaly lost my mind. The balloon animals have been kicked out of my head to make way for a vacancy sign.

Play some Jimi and it'll get better promise...........

Ooo...Jimi makes everything better.

Oh dear lord...that reminds me of a rather funny story. One of my best friends has always prided herself on being very up on pop culture. She's not too bright when it comes to "before her time" though. One day a few of us are riding along in a car, and she just blurts out "Hey, did you guys know Jimi Hendrix was black?" There was at least a tripple take reaction and we begged her to laugh or something. How could she possibly not know that he was black!!?!?!?

Of course, we are talking about a person who sat through a stage performance (not film showing audience participation thingy) of Rocky Horror Picture Show where some of the Popcorn girls kept yelling "Labia" at certian points. The next day, this girl turns to us and says "Who was that labia person they kept yelling about?"

She really hurts my brain sometimes...

well if that doesn't just make things go from shitty to so shitty I can't even see a way to make things ok.
I hate my life.
