Skiing may be the bee's knees, but I've never been able to stand up straight on a pair. I hang with the snowboarding kids instead. Much easier to control that thing. You won't hear any "Dude" from me though.

I might take on boarding next year... Who knows. It did look like lots of fun. Too cool that you do it! So what's the Swedish equivalent of "dude"?!

you know, you can find some pretty private spots among the trees in the back bowls sometimes...

Glad you enjoyed it. My only two times were too late in June, too much ice base. I spent most of my time on my ass. It was still fun even then

I basically learned on ice...on the plus side, I know how to use my edges and am not intimidated by speed...but I looked real funny the first time I got into decent powder. People who see me ski ice assume I am much better than I am (I'm decent though) because the majority of people find ice more challenging...

edit: OK, I haven't been out there in almost ten years...how about "I used to be pretty decent and am sure I would get back to form by the end of the first day"...
