Good thoughts and wish's go with and to you. I had asked about the 'Love Shack' but I didn't realize you were so close.

Well, I wasn't. They were in OKC area earlier today. But it was a high danger day and now there are 11 fires around the Tulsa area, which is only about an hour and a half away. In my head, I know it'll probably be okay. But it's still a little scary.

An hour and a half away, with the wind blowing, and the lack of precipitation, is too close for comfort. Grass fires spread more quickly than people realize when conditions are the way they are.

Yeah I know it.
I live in a largely residential, ie non wooded area. But my parents live right outside town in a heavily wooded area. I'm more worried for them than for me. Just gonna keep an eye on the news and hope for rain.

Trees actually slow grass fires. They're denser, and don't burn as quickly.

I think that, somehow, I've wound up with two more kids than I started the holidays out with.

Lucky kids...

it would bring my total up to five.

*gasp*

*thud*

edited to add: they're VERY good kids, and I wouldn't even know they were here except for the groceries disappearing faster than usual.

I didn't saw lucky you... ;)

God takes care of children and fools. Or so they say...

I don't mind so much, to be honest. They've kept mine occupied, and between the three of them, even cleaned up his room, which is a new concept for me to grasp.

:)

the 7-year-old just came in and showed me where he JUST lost a tooth. I guess I get to be tooth fairy tonight.

The worst thing is, my SO is on vacation from work right now and after he goes to bed is the only time I get to myself, and I'm falling asleep. I think I need some caffeine.
