Doesn't have to be NHL to be a live hockey game. I've only been to one live game (and yes, it was NHL but not teams I root for anyways) and I quite enjoyed myself. I've tried watching on TV numerous times but just can't get into the game through the tube.

Everytime it goes down, there is something to make it interesting. Not good, not bad, just interesting. Kind of like getting the shit kicked out of you and as you are lying on the ground have someone walk up and tie your shoes. So you're just left there wondering 'what the fuck?'

Hockey rocks in person...way better than on TV! Been watching hockey live since college, where (believe it or not) it was warmer inside the game than outside.

Hockey is one of those sports that is way better live. Seen games at all levels and it is always better...

...and hockey players are fun to party with...they get their agressions out on the ice. Chad Wagner of the San Diego Gulls and I shared many a pitcher of beer...and he was a goon, but not off the ice...good guy to have your back in a bar though, ol' "Two Gun" Wagner. (so named because he would do the gunfighter "bang-bang" thing after kicking ass and while being led to the penalty box....)
