You try not to let it bother you, you try to do what everyone says and just ignore it, you try to be big and adult and realize in the overall scheme of things it doesn't matter....

But when your story was climbing the ratings and getting wonderful comments, and then some troll comes along and throws a 1 bomb at you, you just feel like finding the shit and beating on them until satisfaction arises.

But since I can't do that, I will warm myself on the positive votes and the lovely comments I did get, and try to be Mature and Above It All.

Or they REALLY hated the story...which is a possibility I keep reminding myself of. But it is a kick in the stomach, no matter what you say, think or do. Rejection always is.

Trust me, they don't really hate your story. I don't know anyone who gives 1's for stories that were remotely legible. When you see pattern that clearly indicates 1's and 2's on a story that isn't "i kiked the door down and camed on her fase," you're looking at malicious votes. Which means, in its own odd way, that they loved your story and know they can't beat it.

I'm still sorry that they're being nasty to you. *nuzzle* If I could take your troll-bombs for you, I would.

Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't we do the same thing that didn't work the last twenty times, but this time we'll add even more explanation about how it should have worked. That's probably been the problem the last twenty times too; not extensive enough explanation about how it should have worked. A few more hours of really intensive explanation and I bet we'll have it solved.
