Not that I noticed with mine. I think the spinal block is what you're thinking of, and they rarely do those anymore.

Not that I noticed either. I've had kids with and without the epi... I much prefer with, lol.

My first one I had no choice... the clinic I went to didn't do them (at that hospital, the obs do the epi, not an anesthesiologist). The second time, I had twins. There was NO way I was going to have a drug free birth with them, lol.
