Need a good blow? :D

omg, I need to just stop it. Bad Scarlett, bad.

Seee, this is why I like Scarlett so much.

Anyone who can make seduction and a bad pun work together, is aces in my book.

Obviously, you have a perception of the word 'bad' that I haven't considered before. :D

Thanks Scarlett, ent.

But what I need is to get what an editor did to one of my stories out of my mind. I haven't been the same since.
Poor boo. This is why I self-edit. It's kind of like giving yourself a haircut; it may look fucked up, but you own it.

Hell's Bells !!!!

The gosling and I went shopping at the World Market before Christmas, so I could get some Brit comforts, to make me feel even more at home. I really love baked beans in tomato sauce, and shoved a couple of Heinz tins in the basket, never really looking at the price.

I've just opened one tin to have with some potato/turkey/cheesecakes for my lunch, and was stunned when I saw the price. $1.79 !!!! Ye gods, that transfers to over £1 in English money........FOR A TIN OF FRICKIN' BAKED BEANS????

That's it. I'm going to eke these out, and savour every bean. I'm not paying that anymore. I'll wait until I get home.

Try a family of six. Our grocery bills are astronomical. I'm afraid to see what they will be when the boys are teenagers.

i used a family of four as a generic. We've got a family of five, so i know... Plus we had our food stamps taken away. We've got no kind of government support except the kids' insurance.

and why kids are fat when mac and cheese is cheap as are all other carbs.
or because the dollar menu at Wendy's - all those nice greasy burgers - is both cheaper and easier than a homemade healthy meal.

Try to afford what is based on the food pyramid....5 servings of something a day that you can't afford....veggies and fruit ain't cheap.

Tell me about it.

Even with a BIG garden plot, and lots of canning and freezing, it's almost impossible.

My husband mentioned something about that the other day. How people go on and on about obesity and how so many in poverty are obese. Sometimes, people who don't have a lot of money exist on mac n cheese and the likes. Of course, they will be more obese than someone who has enough money to buy the more expensive, healthier stuff.

I know canned veggies aren't as good for you as fresh ones, but at least they are better than nothing. I try to make sure my kids get some every day, and I buy bananas and grapes and sometimes apples so they get their fruit. When the kids were smaller, we got WIC, which helped a bunch, but we've only got one old enough to qualify now, so it's not really worth the hassle anymore.

Our grocery bills have gone up a little since I started Weight Watchers. I have managed to find some recipes though that are healthy and still aren't too hard on the pocket book. It's hard because we are always out of money by the time the next paycheck rolls around.

Yep. Diet foods are not cheap.

The RA started on South Beach almost a year ago (and has lost nearly 100 lbs. in that time - he's now the same size he was when i married him) and the cost of the foods he's 'allowed' is just insane. Even though it is just for him, it's a good excuse for the rest of us to eat healthier as well. i've taken advantage of that.

But especially at the beginning, or when he goes back to phase one (he goes back and forth between one and two), it gets expensive. Seafood is not cheap, and that's the main source of protein for that phase. The vegetables that are allowed usually aren't found in cans. It's either frozen - healthier but more expensive - or fresh.

I send my kids out in the yard to graze.

98% of the straight men (And probably a large chunk of the gay ones) would give vital body parts to hold SJ and even a hint of anything more.......

CD is right or he is deranged or both!!

*GBH* :rose:

Lol. Thanks.

He's one of those weird ones who likes sex to be part of a relationship and stuff. That's what he said anyway, and it's either believe that, or think that I'm not attractive. And personally, I'd rather think he's just odd.
