Why the hell do I get all these spam messages on Yahoo Messenger??

Mine seem to be coming through the MSN connection to YIM. There's the "Hey, Sexy!" one, the one in some other language, and now a "Happy Birthday" one.

How do you raise a child to not be cruel and mean? You try so hard to instill in them compassion, yet it seems that for all you do they only seek to hurt the feelings of those that they know will always love them.

They won't though, not deeply. As an adult that one child that was tormented, the one that has a deep well of compassion for others, will grow up and though she will love her sister she will not LOVE her sister, not in the way sisters should love, a close bond that can't be severed by anything.

I want them to have that, yet I fear that my eldest is going to lose her sister because I can't seem to stress enough that her words hurt more than she realizes.

And how do you stop it? What words... what actions will be the ones that break through the cruelty? How do you make the other one feel better? How do you make her stop hurting?

I agree... though i will have to admit I was happy being a poor college student/grad student.

But having lived at a comfortable level since then, the idea of being without an income temporarily really sucketh.

New Sprint internet-anywhere card being used right now. Supposedly this is much faster than my old dsl service, almost as fast as cable internet but without some the supposed limitations of slow service when many are using. Costs just $10 more than my old DSL. Is it faster? Just got it going but it might be - lit's avs and the 40-post-per-page format I use are a good test.

Anyone entered this realm of the brave new world yet?
