So I just got out of the pool...

I found myself mesmerized by the water around me. I placed my hand on the very surface of the water and revelled in the feeliing of the water against my skin. I wondered what it was like for those water bugs that glide on the surface of the water. I stuck my arm in the water and observed the little shadows on my arm where my hairs had penetrated the water's surface. I watched as the slightest movements sent tiny waves throught the water. I watched my chest hairs separate and flow in the water, then cling to my skin as I rose. Funny how those hairs don't look wet at all when they're in the water. There's an orange tree next to the pool in my back yard, and I found several little buds (Not sure what to call them, but they're about 1 or 2 centimeters in diameter). I watched as they scattered around the floor of the pool as I tried to step on them. I even stopped to watch an ant, who had fallen in. It never gave up, and I pushed him towards the side of the pool. eventually, he reached the edge and climbed out. He made it! He seemed lost though, but soon another ant came along and led him back to safety. Incredible.

What an amazing substance.
