She had it wrapped in cotton wool in a tiny little "fairy bowl" next to the biscuits and milk she set out. I tried to tell her that fairies are not like Santa. Her reply? "How would you know?!"

;)

You were both correct. Fairies are not like Santa, but they do like biscuits and milk. Everyone knows that.

Should I ask where the wound is? Or is that best left to my imagination?

*grin*

It's between the index & middle fingers of my left hand ... but you can place it wherever you please.

I'm watching the day break - The sky change colour. It's so incredibly tranquil. Filled with gentle energy. So much potention. Today can be anything.

Ooo-la-la!

Hiya, sweetie -

I'm kinda working on a project for a colleague, kinda messin around on lit, and also having a sip of Sambuca. (If Zade were around I would do the three coffee beans and light it on fire, but since she's not I'm just sipping.)

Wishing you a day that lives up to your hopes expressed above. :rose:

PLease spare a thought for two people close to me, one has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, the other, a young mum, has just been told by her partner that he wants nothing more to do with her or their baby son.

There is so much help I want to give, but I'm not sure how to even start, so I'm starting here - you all give so much strength to those in trouble, so please send a little of it this way so I can distribute it to those who need it so badly.

Sending them all I have, as my life is stable enough not to need any right now

Done that in a hotel in Paris when I was 15 and ended up leaving scorch marks up the walls ;)

*HUGS* V.

On a more practical note are there any Brits here who are well familarised with the benefit system? Advice would be greatly welcomed.

If your friend (the young mum) has a partner like that, she's well shot of him anyway. It's going to be tough at first, but she'll survive. The benefits system will keep her going until she decides what she wants to do in the long term. It helped me keep afloat for six months after my divorce, when my ex left me with three kids and no money. She also needs to contact the CSA to get them involved. If he decides to NOT pay her chid support, they'll at least be able to chase him sooner rather than later.

There are zillions of women out there who raise kids alone - it isn't a death sentence and in any cases it is easier than dealing with a partner who is a waste of space. Just be there to provide plenty of moral support. :rose:

It rained today morning, just a slight drizzle. It was beautiful :D
