(Really!)
I completely understand what you mean. For me, it's gasoline or diesel fuel, oil, and old wood. It reminds me of my grandpa's farm and his old "machine shed".RedHairedandFriendly said:*sigh* The world tumbles and turns and bad things happen to good people. My Grandfather - Mom's side (and the only Grandfather I have) is in the hospital. He's had a mild heart attack; he's got pneumonia and internal bleeding. Enough that they are giving him blood transfusions. He's 86 and lucid, but in a lot of pain. From strokes long ago he's paralyzed on one side and because of age and genetics, blind in both eyes. He cannot walk on his own either. He is in bad shape.![]()
However. . .because he is a stubborn man and is angry with his wife, he has told the doctor's that she forced him to sign the "No Code" papers. (He signed them himself many years ago). So now my grandfather is "Full Code" meaning they will use ALL means to restore him to life, if his heart fails and he dies.
I am not angry that he wishes to do this. I wish he hadn't had to tell the lies about my grandmother. My mom and her sister were witnesses to his signing, so he wasn't coerced. The whole situation is a sad and ugly one and I hope it get resolved and my grandfather get's healing, or at least is able to finish the rest of his life with those that he loves and who love him.
My nephew and my spouse are healing. My online best friend. . .she is waiting and the news we all fear will not be good.![]()
Thanks my friends because I know without asking you'll be there.

How about when the lovely sister of one of my lovely hosts is studying her Art History... I mention when I took my last Art History class... and am promptly informed it was before her birth.McKenna said:Oh yes, that's another one! Annoying little buggers... heheheh.Hiya, slyc.

That will make a guy feel old, that will... although I certainly don't think she MEANT to be annoying in any way.
