One of the better things of coming from a blue-blooded family (on my father's side, that is). We had no lack of culture and refinement growing up. And my mother's side made up for it at times with some Ukrainian peasant cunning (whenever I bothered to listen, that is).

True. So am I. Art snob and limousine liberal. All part of my upbringing. I don't think that my Dad voted for a Republican in his life. Nor my Mom, come to think of it. Atheists and liberal Democrats. Which makes living with a center-right expat from Zimbabwe rather interesting.

Not sure what he'd say, to be honest. He is a major subscriber to several men's magazines, but the idea of one's daughter writing erotic stories (when I start, which Chris is encouraging me to try)..........well, that might make him a little nervous or worried.

I love the Pre-Raphaelites. Dante Gabriel Rossetti's paintings still make my heart beat faster, so do Millais'.
They're just such beautiful, sexy women and painted in such a tender way that seems to show reverence for them.
