I'm tired of being strong. Even Superman had his fortress of solitude to get away. I want someone to hold me up, to let me crumble and be overwhelmed so I can rise again. I don't care if its not masculine, its what I need. The longer I keep things bottled up inside the longer I'm afraid the bottle will break eventually.

MAybe that's not such a bad thing if it does.

I had the best weekend ever. I know a lot of people say that, but it's true for me. I can't recall the last time I ever had so much fun and peace.

My father got married at age 53 this weekend to the woman he's been living with for about a year now. I've been living with both of them since December, and they are the reason I'm getting my life back on track. They are my support and shelter, and I'm so happy they found each other. I can say, living with them for so long, that they're gonna make it just fine, and they truly love one another.

They got married in Gatlingburg on Sweetest Day. All the family and guests that they invited had rooms payed for down there. Everything was taken care of for the length of a long weekend. I got to spend some time with my sister and her fiance. I was so much fun that I wish I could share every bit of it.

The wedding was beautiful. Perfect really. It wasn't too big, or small, long, or short. It was just right. As a gift to them I played my trumpet for them. A few wedding songs, and a request from one of Dad's best friends. I got to be his co-best man, along side his best friend, and watching them repeat their vows to one another was wonderful. So many times those vows are said, and one has to wonder if they mean anything any more. I know when they said them, they meant them. They were both glowing. It was great to see my dad happy again.

The best part was being with my family. It's been years since we've been able to get together and do anything together. My sister, her fiance, and I went up to the top of Clingman's Dome and watched the sun set Saturday night. Her fiance, John, had never seen anything like it. He was really moved. Then, on the way down the three of us could only get in a radio station that was playing pop 80's music and we all sang along. It was so stupid, and great at the same time.

I took a bunch of pictures of the moutains and the scenery. I hope they turn out. If they look good, and I can download them, I'll try to share them.

I'm so vanilla.

Vanilla's not so bad. Especially when it's side by side with banana in a milk shake. Mmmmm....good. So, who cares if your not into certain things? The point is to find someone that you can share what you are into with. Find a like minded soul. The simple life doesn't have to be a boring life ya know.

I parked in a disabled space today, and a traffic warden shouted to me - "Oy, you! What's your disability?"

I said - "Tourrettes, you cunt! Now FUCK OFF!"

Both my wife and I are handicapped, and appreciate it when people honor the parking reserved for us.

Relax, it was a joke.

Yeah, I know. It hit me wrong because in my location there is a real problem with people doing just that. If you're handicapped and you park so far away from the door that when you get there you need to quit and go back home, it's not a lot of fun.

To me it's like a racist joke, and I can't abide them either. But I relaxed as you commanded, sweetie.
