Well, I spent this weekend taking a breather from writing because I burned myself out, but I'll probably get back in the saddle after I return home.

Blurt #1: Damn, that was a great vacation! Very productive.

They're much worse than the story ones, that's for damn sure. Le sigh. The scores on my latest offerings are a lot lower than they deserve, and for what? For asshole wanna-be poets to get their rocks off by bringing my stuff down? Screw that. I am NOT giving up.

I personally have always found the poetry forum to be far fairer and honest when it comes to voting and comments than the prose sections.

And despite being trolled several times, viciously, on my stories, have NEVER been trolled on my poetry. *shrug*. I've had some low scores, but its all part of the game.

I have said before and will continue to say again, and again, and again until maybe, one day, someone will hear what I'm saying and understand it.....

Low scores can equally equate to a genuine opinion on a piece of work, and every person who reads any item - story or poem - is entitled to their opinion and to give what they consider a fair vote.

I have given ones, and will continue to give ones if that's the vote I believe that piece deserves....IN MY OPINION.

I agree, but I dislike the ability to have anonymous votes, especially 1s and 5s... I think anonymous is cowardly... if you have an oppinion, stand up and be a MAN or WOMAN about it and say "I take responsibility for my vote".

Not to say Mat has ever done that, anytime you've voted on my works you've send me feedback too (more important to me than the voting).

Yes, but what else am I supposed to think when I look at my stats and I see incredibly low numbers that are inconsistent with what I usually get? For example, I got very good reviews this week in the Poetry section. As soon as these works got glowing praise from both reviewers and readers, the scores plunged to Hell.

I'm not bragging here, but is it really possible for someone who gets decent scores for every single poem to suddenly churn out crap that everyone hates? I don't believe that.

actually, it is possible babe... I've got one story that is a LOW scorer... I have no idea why, probably because it doesn't quite "hit the mark" or something. I don't feel trolled, just disappointed
