Got a call from the RA after he deposited his check today. Seems he -oops- forgot to collect money from somebody and deposit it into checking a couple of months ago so that this other person could afford to keep their shop open. He calls to let me know that we're now a couple of THOUSAND dollars in the hole because i had no idea and kept writing checks for things like groceries and electricity. Add a $25 surcharge to every check written into overdraft, plus the charges for all the returned checks, and that less than a thousand turned into a big deal. Because we get statements quarterly, i had no idea this was happening.

Now i'm left to clean up the mess. Still without a job (still looking - down to filling out applications at burger joints) and with three kids to worry about.

It hasn't been a good day.
