A Delaware judge ruled that a law making vote-by-mail a permanent election fixture in the state is unconstitutional.

In June, Delaware’s legislature passed SB 320 , providing registered voters the ability to request a mail-in ballot ahead of an election without the need for an excuse. Democratic Gov. John Carney signed it into law on July 22.

Vice Chancellor Nathan Cook’s ruling came Wednesday, prohibiting mail-in voting in future general elections.

They knew it might not be. The courts have decided and so now they can move ahead with an amendment.

It is kind of a dumb state. It just sits there, taking up one half of that little peninsula that dips down below Pennsylvania and Washington DC. I never understood why they either didn't just let Delaware have the whole peninsula (why only one little chunk of it?) or why it wasn't just made into part of Maryland.

Rightguide is also probably wishful thinking that since they made mail-in ballots unconstitutional, that they can now go back and void the previous election results where mail-in ballots were used. Sorry to burst his bubble (actually NOT sorry at all) but that's not how the legal system works. Ex-post-facto laws are actually outlawed in the U.S. Constitution (article 1 section 9-3; not that Rightguide has ever paid much attention to the Constitution.) So if mail-in ballots were legal back in 2020, they can't suddenly decide they were illegal back in 2020 if the law wasn't passed until 2022.

Not to mention Delaware would have gone blue in any event, especially with a favorite son leading the ticket.

Biden was born in Scranton PA and grew up in Delaware, but his current home is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC.
