Is this what they mean by hoarding?

Yesterday my son called me and said: "Go buy gas right now!" (He works for a company that has gas stations.) I went out immediately and topped off my tank (about 1/2 a tank). A while later I drove by the same gas station and the price was up 50 cents a gallon. In a couple of hours!

I guess that's what they are telling us: don't top off your tank. But damn it, I don't feel a bit guilty that I saved $6.00 by buying my gas one day earlier than normal.

This nightmare has turned me into a hoarder.

Guilty as charged, your Honor.

If you start hoarding sex toys, then we'll talk.

You can have all the gas, just don't take my Bathtub Bunny!

Hoarding is emptying your car's tank into a 50 gallon drum in your shed and refilling at the gas station.

If you think twice before using your gas because you know it is going to cost you more then you will help yourself and your country over the next few weeks.

Where did I put my bicycle pump?

Well said, Ogg! If only biking to work didn't involve a stupid, freaking mountain at the moment. :( Lance I am not.

I knew that a price hike was coming as soon as I saw Katrina bearing down on New Orleans. I filled up first thing monday morning @ $2.39 per gallon. By lunch time on Tuesday it was up to $3.09.

My truck gets about 15 mpg, and my motorcycle gets about 40 mpg. Guess which one I'm driving the most. :D

Well, we shouldn't need to hoard. The companies are price gouging like there's no tommorrow profiteering off the tragedy like it was Chriatmas. This is well, evil. We make a lot of play about how we shoudn't politicize the tragedy and I agree with it. No one should profit in either esteem or money from this tragedy. IT'S A FUCKING TRAGEDY.

There needs to be more outcry about it especially when areas that do not get any oil from those refineries have the same damn price jack.

It's the wild west down there, Luc. Every gas man for himself. The owners are merely raising their prices to astronomical levels so as to steer the crowds away, so they have some gas left for later, for when the other pumps run dry and they can REALLY raise their rates. Supply and demand...
