There were 300 300! mass shootings - ie. more than one death per shooting - in the USA so far this year?????

Look it up on Wiki! You will get all the numbers and statistics you need to draw your own opinion.
Technically anything over 1 is of course a mass shooting but usually it's not seen that way. A guy kills his wife and her boyfriend the statisticians might consider it a mass shooting but nobody else does.
So, it only counts when the gunman/men take out at least four? How many can he injure?

I doubt there is a specific number.
That's okay! It was only a multiple murder! Good thing it wasn't a mass murder. Amazing what can become normal.
The number is four for the FBI to classify it as a 'mass shooting'. I can't quote where I saw that though.
There was some talk about lowering it.
Did a quick look and it seems there is some debate over the number four however.
There's an up-to-date calendar here: https://img.washingtonpost.com/wp-a...kblog/files/2015/12/mass_shootings.png&w=1484
It stretches the screen.

And 3,000! totally innocent babies are intentionally murdered by their own mothers simply for convenience in the USSA every day, almost 1,000,000! so far this year.
What's your point?
At least it keeps the number of potential mass shooters down.......

No, nor were there as many "school shootings" or "children shot" the way any objective person would view the actual events described by such hyperbolic ally parsed statistics thrown around by anti-gun nuts that gleefully await each shooting to exploit for their agenda before any details at all are known.
The actual numbers are quite bad enough without the disingenuous inclusion of events that no rational person would say were events one would label as a scary-sounding MASS SHOOTING!!!.
The fact that, for example, the fact that they will include a 26 year old gang member shooting another 26 year old gang member in statistics for "children" being shot should be all that any rational person needs to know when viewing these hyperbolic pronouncements about how common these events are.

Don't worry. Americans are prepared. They all have guns, unlike the helpless Europeans.
That was a lot of hyperbullshit to just say that you have no fucking clue as to the true count of your statistics.
How many of those 26 year old children were actually children? Just that one case out of assloads? Half of them? All of them?
You're the lucky ones, at least they're not your next-door neighbour.
Canada: 30.8 guns per 100 residents.
And still so far down on list of gun deaths from US it's not even funny. How do we do it? How do we have such a rep as being all nice and peaceful and nearly 1/3 of our citizens are armed.
Gun homicides and gun ownership by country
The United States has the highest gun ownership rate in the world and the highest per capita rate of firearm-related murders of all developed countries.
Country/
territory Guns per 100 people* Total homicides by guns Homicides by guns per 100,000 people
United States 88.8 9,960 3.2
Canada 30.8 173 0.51
We have 1/10th your pop. We should have 1/10th of murders by gun. Even percentage of murders is off. Ours by gun 32%, the US 67.8%.
The USA is almost a statistical anomaly amongst the developed nations. No comparison of population, ethnicity, religion or political governance can explain the murder/death/kill rate of USA guns. Drug war embroiled Mexico and other developing nations rank closer than the G8 countries. And it is entirely a problem of your own doing that crosses over generations and different political rulers.
Shameful! Hard to be an example to others, when you can't keep your own house in order.
