Are most people stupid? Is the stupid contagious? Have they made a vaccine for it?
 
There is no vaccine but I hear that the simple act of reading greatly reduces the effects.
 
I myself prefer to use the term 'the great unwashed', but yes - it's true.
Why, just this morning I had the misfortune to encounter one......who congratulated me on a great win by my rugby team! You know, because Tasmania is part of New Zealand...... :rolleyes:
 
Stupid means SENSELESS, as in too stunned to fathom the meaning of experience. If youre in a coma its safe to call you STUPID. But its likely to be stupid from too little knowledge derived from experience and education.

Richard Rhodes published a marvelous book titled THE MAKING OF THE ATOMIC BOMB. It dissects and exposes stupid from caveman to Obama. Cavemen saw fire light and felt heat but were totally stupid about 99.99% of radiant energy. Lord Rutherford got a Noble Prize and went to his grave clueless about the basic nature of stuff at the atomic scale. He was a Kiwi, tho. Kiwi's invented WTF!

I like 'google smart', I use it for a know-it-all that prattles on about stuff they don't understand but want to puff themselves up to impress other people. They don't realize how dumb or annoying they are to almost everyone.

I had a run in last week with one like that. He was spouting on a subject I was really very knowledgable on. I called him on it in front of other people. I left him flopping like a fish out of water. I don't usually say anything but he was so far off and I was not in a mood. He talks and talks to hear his own voice and I was just sick of listening to him.

I would't know who won at any sport but it doesn't takes genius to read a map. 'The great unwashed', I like that.
