Ok, I have an idea for a story and I am wondering if people would find it interesting to read:

An attempted mugging takes place and then the man who was being mugged falls for the woman who tried to take his wallet. Can a man actually fall in love with the would be thief that tried to rob him? Or is she still trying to rob him of something even more valuable, his heart?

Is this idea at all interesting? Or is it just plain and simply to stupid to be made into a decient story?

There are very few brand new ideas.

It's all in how you tell the story.

Go for it.

Potential there . . . .

The fact that it's a woman mugging a man (or would she just be pickpocketing?) is an interesting twist in and of itself. I would think that men would fall more easily for a woman in such a situation, rather than the other way around.

You could develop an entire character study out of the two of them. Why the woman was desperate enough to try to mug/pickpocket the man, how the man reacted, and so forth.

I say, go for it and see where the characters take you.

Thank You!

Thank you all for your support of this idea! I will try to get this story out as soon as possible! I will add a response to this thread to let you know when it is up! Thanks Again!

Nope, not stupid at all. I know of at least one other story around the web that has a very similar beginning -- a man catches a female burglar and after a dozen or so plot twists marries her. That story involves a frame-up where the hero sets up the situation so he can blackmail the burglar into dating him, which is NOT what you seem to have in mind.

But your basic scenario definitely CAN be a very interesting story and is NOT one of the standard cliches of erotica. It would be worth reading for that element alone. :D

If you need to question whether or not you think the idea is actually interesting instead of plunging in and writing it and seeing how it turns out, then you probably shouldn't even consider writing it.

I disagree.

Who knows how it will turn out when complete? Write, then worry about how the story will be received. If you aren't pleased with the effort later, your time will not be wasted. After all, you still will be practicing writing.

That could definitely be good. I can see a robbery victim falling for his mugger. It's an emotional experience, and if the mugger turns out to show some clear redeeming human sides, I coud see interrest evolve from that. It's all in how you write it, you'll need characters with some real dimensions to pull it off. Good luck. :)
