Just curious...? If you cant open .doc format document you should really find someone who can..

Dear CT,
If this forum is beneath your standards, perhaps you simply have not completed your search.

Excellent point, Svenska. Better be careful, though, he's from Texas, and they're known for their biting wit. Sheep, too.

That's a really mean spirited comment about a sheep! What you are witnessing is the result of a small gene pool.

Dear Red,
I know that the ... umm ... sheepmen have their jeans in a pool around their ankles when they ... tend the sheep, but I don't see that I have demeaned the ovine population.

Now that you have all shown your age.. can you answer the question.. or are you illeterate as well

As for MG.. no.. this forum is not beneath me. But if you hadnt noticed there is no where to go for help. So what do you suggest I do.. aside from your barnyard fantasy

I'm not quite sure what sort of problem you run into and could not find a solution. Maybe you could elaborate?

That might be not quite the way to get the answer you want - but I think it will probably get an answer.

I think people are finding it difficult working out exactly what the question is.

Texan crow

Mr Crow: this is primarily a fun site and though erotica is draw, writing is a priority aim. The ladies above, and their champions, are exercising wordplay and refined wit.

Welcome, after all, and explore the territory. There's another board for questions like yours (which I also do not get).

Regards, Perdita

I apologize for the comment, I have been trying to get a story ..well.. just looked at and prepared myself for embarrassment so I thought i'd go ahead and get that out of the way. The problem is if I indent this story, it will change it completly. I wrote it in word and aligned it to the center of the page. Now I am not sure if that is why it is rejected.. or if whom ever accept's or rejects submissions actually can not open the format I am sending it as... again, I apologize for the comment made.

The title of this thread was not a good choice. In my opinion, it comes across as an insult to the owners.

I am about to submit a story here myself. Here's what it says on the Story Submission page:

There are two ways to submit your story. You may paste the text into the box below or you may upload a .txt, .rtf, or Word .doc file by scrolling down the page to the next form field. Please use only one method - do not put text in the box and submit a file as both may be lost.

Perhaps your submission was not sent correctly?

Oh, and welcome to Litland, I hope your stay and enjoyment of the site improves.

maybe this will help

Thanks for the apology (for myself at least). Try the "How To" forum. In the welcome thread you'll read--

"If you've landed at this special place known as the How To Forum, then you either have a question about something rather specific, or you know a whole bunch of stuff about computers or G-spots and you want to share."

You can even PM (personal message) the writer, who has 6K+ posts so should know a lot.

Good luck, Perdita

Oops posting at the same time. Nice to see the apology.

Sounds like you need the services of Weird Harold or Killer Muffin! I know that it's to do with your html thingee stuff....

WH/KM where art thou?

I have been reading at the site for quite some time now.. I havent yet found a site with stories that compares to the ones i find here. My submission was in .doc but i will keep trying

The thing about computers is that all software used for writing is not 100% compatible. If you uploaded the file and they can't open it, delete that submission and then create a new one and upload it again.

Another problem is that you might have used your word processor's bells and whistles to format your document. Things like user-defined styles, fonts other than the default font, and what have you. Most of the time this isn't a problem, she just deletes all of that from your text anyway. Sometimes it's a problem if she doesn't have the compatible software in her computer. She may have a different copy of Word than you do and she may not have loaded everything on the disk onto her computer. If she has to download more software to read your file, it will probably get rejected.

The best way to submit a story is to do so with everything pared out of it but the text itself. It will not br printed, it will be transfered to a web page which is completely incompatible with word-processor codes.

This is, of course, all assumption since I have no idea what your document looks like.

Additionally, as you may have noticed in your readings here, Literotica does not indent text for any reason. Paragraphs are formatted justified to the left with a space in between them. They are easier to read this way and the lack of indentation gives a little extra space on the page so more words will fit on one page.
