I received the following feedback in an email and I was wondering if anyone out there had ever been contacted by these folks. Maybe one of you has some experience with this company. I was absolutely floored when I read it. Imagine me giving up my job to become a full time professional porn writer! My famnily would be so proud!

You write beautifully. If you ever wish to write an erotic novel, keep me in
mind...I'd have interest in publishing it.

Did a quick Google.

Here's their website.

They look legit. Been around for a while.

Congrats, I had to go looking for a publisher.

Any Update or Other Comments

LonelyMom,

I received a similar email yesterday. Did you (or anyone else) ever followup with Mr. Bollinger? My reaction was pretty much the same as yours. The last time something like this happened to me I checked the forum and everyone slammed the group that sent me the email pretty harshly, so I laughed and moved on.

This doesn't seem to be the same case, but... :)

it wouldn't bother me if the fellow wrote to 5-10 of his favorites that he read at Literotica. that might be the case.

it would concern me, i.e. show i'm nothing special, if 50 lit authors, all those with stories in BDSM got the same mass email of glowing compliments and some solicitation.

I never did follow up on the offer. Somehow, I can handle being an amateur pornographer, but I'm not quite ready to take that next step to being a professional one. Nobody else has chimed in to say that they've received an offer from this person. It must mean that we are really, really special !!!! (No, I don't believe that for one second) I'm still holding out for Mr. Spielberg's offer to turn one of my stories into a multi-multi-multi megadollar hit. I might be persuaded to relinquish my amateur standing for that!

Start small and it grows.

But remember the first rule of publishing:

NEVER, EVER, should an author pay a penny to a publisher for "advertising", "set up costs", "art work" or anything else. The publishers make their money by taking an agreed proportion of the sale price of sold books; then they give the author the rest.

On paper publication the author will end up with between 5% and 17.5% of the cover price, and possibly some of that in advance. This is normally paid annually.

On e-publication the author will end up with between 35% and 65% of the cover price, but none of that in advance. This is normally paid whenever some predetermined figure is reached (eg $500).

NEVER pay a publisher anything.

And apparently, they're planning to venture into erotica for the first time.

In that case, it would make sense to look into an online forum for potential writers. That's what I'd do.

I believe Lucky had some dealings with this company. Might want to PM her.
