I can put a story up for critique? Or would I do that in the Author's Hangout or some other forum I didn't even think of?

Here, you get guaranteed feedback on your story by more than one person. You can look through the stories posted and see what you can get. All you have to do is put your story on the list in the vounteer thread at the top of this forum, and then give thoughtful critique on someone's story in this forum. Email, PMs, or other forums don't count.

At the Author's Hangout, you can get feedback, but that's not really what it's for.

The place to post a thread on your own asking for feedback is in the Story Feedback forum near the top of the discussion board itself. You may or may not get critique.
