to edit a poem after it is submitted, but before it is approved (awaiting approval)?

Just curious...

No, you can no longer make changes once a piece has been submitted, the pending link is no longer available.

I think it is coz people kept making changes not knowing it put them to the back of the queue and then kept sending pms asking where their submissions were.

In short to make things less confusing :)

Well that stinks...but I understand the reasoning behind it.

Yes it is frustrating, just means you have to proof read thoroughly before submitting and be 100% happy with your work.

Not sure if this helps, or what you're trying to do, after all, I'm just a simple-minded reader, but there was a story submitted in which the author had some wrong names for main characters and it saw the light of day and so remained that way for a week or so. But, he did get the mistakes corrected, without losing votes or comments.

So, like JC says, once you're in the queue, I guess it stands as is. But I guess there is some way to later change it. Don't know if anyone's ever tried it other than the one case of which I'm aware.

FAQ: I've re-edited my story and want to replace the posted version with my new edited one. How do I do this?

No problem! Simply submit the new version as you submitted the old one, only adding the word "EDITED" to the title (ex. "My Sexy Firefighter Ch. 03 - EDITED") so that we know to replace the old text with the new text. We will then replace the original text with the new text. Your story will retain its previous voting score and views.

It's been getting done since the beginning of time, and it does work. ;)

Thanks LeBroz. I am just constantly going over the wording in my head and sometimes I want to make last minute changes. Ah well...

"100% happy with your work"....what is that? I don't think I've ever been there, but damn if I won't try harder. LOL! ;)

Thanks guys,

Julia

Eh. I hear you. Most of the time it's more a matter of enough editing, already. Just post and get done with it. :D
