Every once in a while I will get a PM from someone here that lets me know that I'm not invisible. Surely I'm not the only one.

I don't expect I'll get many responses because I never do. But if someone here makes a difference once in awhile on or off the boards, don't forget to let them know.

I would suspect that my PM to post ratio is something like 10 to 1.
There's a lot of great people here who have become friends. It takes almost no effort to reach out and touch someone.

Yes, there are those that do, all the time. There is also one in particular that I miss, the smiles and happiness they gave me will have to last and last in my memory, I suppose.

I prefer to let them know on the board, PMing people out of the blue makes me squirm, and the only time I did it, I was ignored. Oh well.

i get one or two every day or so that start my day out perfectly. my friends here on lit are every bit as important as my friends here at home.

but it didn't happen over night gringo. i felt like i was trespassing for the first few weeks/months that i started posting. then when i started feeling a little more at home i reached out to a couple of people and started the process of becoming friends.

as for letting them know what they mean to me, i'm pretty sure that they already do.

I don't get PM's unless I PM them 1st. Well, usually. Then, there's people I PM, and, don't hear back from them for a few days. That kinda wories me. But, I realize that people have busier lives than I do.

Yes there is. I'd love to let them know that I really like the way they think, the posts they share with us...
I don't follow them around or anything like that. I guess this person likes to post on alot of threads so I run across them and always find myself smiling. Learning a tiny bit more about them.

I'd love to send a pm, but I'm too shy about it. Wouldn't want them to get the wrong idea.
