Is there a way to block a whole forum from "new"?

I see there's a way to mark a whole forum as "read" but is there a way to block/ignore a whole subforum? I'd really love it if I could remove the Politics and Personals sections from the "new posts" list.

No. You'd have to put the most prolific members on the politics board on IGNORE and eventually it will clean up your feed. You'll still get stragglers.

It would be harder to do this in other forums.

This is what I've done and after a year I hardly get any new posts from the politics forum.
