There are a few authors whose call names I have come very familiar with enough to spell and would like to keep checking their author's pages for their newest stories: They are: Mpulse,; Evanslily; secretme; danielkitten; and a few whos names I cannot spell without finding their names on the member's page first due to sounding call names out on my JAWS not being able to pronounce many consonants compiled together in a combined word name. Like Sacred? fice? angel? I have spent HOURS!!! going through the member's lists one by one in alphabetical order and am getting a VERY! LONG! HEADACHE! trying to find them. I had hoped that I could either find their names and therefore links on the board or find a search function that would take me directly to those names that I can for sure spell exactly. Please help? Quesla. (I have also noticed a completely blind member on the member's list and sure hope I can find her/him? again. I hope this member speaks JAWS well enough and in simple enough terms by keystroke to help me out a bit? I will try to find person again. Perhaps I can start a thread corner for us visually challenged or blind text only users??? No foul to all the sighted folk who have helped me so far. Just wish that I new my JAWS keystrokes well enough to overcome some of the forum problems that I've been bugging sighted folk about! LOTS! of Love & Light: Quesla

There is a member search function on the main index page. It is two lines above the member list link.

I don't know if you can access links from posts, but I'll provide one in case you can. Click Here.

Good luck sorting it out.

Hi Quesla

I'm very flattered to appear on your list, thank you very much. :)

I've almost finished Chapter 6 of Back to the Farm. Almost. Still might be around 10 days to a fortnight before it appears here on the site though.

What would be the best way of letting you know when it's posted? Does JAWS let you access private messages here on the board? If so, I could drop you a line when it's ready.

Hope this helps

Hi Staircers? (sp?) -Didn't letter by letter space over your name and I'm sure you can imagine how JAWS pronounces (murders!) some callnames! I entered on your provided link- my JAWS dialogue box stated: "cannot find server" BUT! ... I'm pretty sure I can find the link on the main page of Lit from your thankfully very precise description line by line.

Hi Lily: Yes: I can definitely access my control panel and private messages-(pm's_ I sometimes have to get sighted hubby's help to get back into my pm mail folders to assess stuff to be deleted and review some already previously read messages in case there are further discussions I need to make with the authors of the posts, but I do get notifications when the messages are in the "cp" ? inbox? and cann read them easily. I can also access my buddy list and send new messages myself. I'll just have to learn how to get into my sent items excetra. Maybe it's tab key??? There are a lot of keystrokes i haven't stumbled upon to access stuff like the moon cycle program I keep in my ?tool bar??? that counts the waxing & waning moons; something that I very much need in my Wiccan seasonal cycles philosophy! especially for my gardening and magic. Thankx for being there for wone stumbling around without a JAWS & Canadian Institute for the Blind tutor anymore; CNIB no longer provides this frontline help for the blind! Their just a money maker for charity here in Canada! I'm of course VERY! disappointed in them. -Sure HELPS! to have friends like you guys on line!!! Love & Light: Quesla

Hey Quesla,

I don't know about how services are in Canada, but I've been a "reader" for the blind before in the US. If I remember correctly, there was a program that paid for the service. It was a very cool experience for both of us. I was curious if there were things like that in Canada?

The woman I worked with had music composition software and a super-cool looking portable computer thing that she used. I've never heard of JAWS until I "met" you. Very curious.

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to navigate a massive site like this... especially considering how...uh... creative some of us are with our user names.

If you get completely stuck, just drop a note on a thread and I bet someone here will be able to find your user or story and then can forward it to you, too.

:)

HStarecares? -tried again-spelling your callname!- I did! indeed find the search function link for the member's list. You were quite right- I just didn't line by line down below the story categories section far enough! The search function cuts miles off my headache time line by lining through the member's list by taking me directly there if I can spell the callname exactly -instead of taking guesses by how JAWS makes it sound! You've REALLY! saved me a LOT! of FRUSTRATION! Thanx so muchI may even have the gumption to check out the toy shop stuff one day! -Although I think I'll need hubby to describe some of the gidgets and gadgets and what they're meant for unless there are REALLY explicit description captions below pics! I still long for the day I have current micro-soft word precessors that will work with my JAWS 7.2? well enough to freely write and edit as I used to on word '97--that's how far lagging we are in affording to purchase current software!- And my late JAWS version-5.2 does NOT! work hardly at all anymore with word '97! It blanks out half of my lines and only reads me what it damned well pleaseseven when I word by word , that is: control key & left arrow over my already typed work. You can imagine how frustrating that gets! Later I would like to get professional tutoring on paragraphing and dialoguing to ensure that my characters are well spoken and understood. I might be way too much into descriptive detail??? Guess you seasoned authors out there will have to wait until I get an operating and co-operating word processor with my JAWS! Thankx always: Love & Light: Quesla

So glad I could help.

I can't imagine trying to navigate the net the way you do - I get frustrated enough some days!

Giggles at the thought of the descriptions you're likely to find on the toys section - I think you'll definitely need hubby's help there!

Hi Quesla,

Have you thought about adding you favorite authors to your profile? At the end of every story, there's a box that says "Add author to favorites." If you click on that box while logged in, the author gets added to your favorites list. If you bookmark the "Favorites" tab in your profile, you can develop a list of authors you like. You'd still have to click on each one to look for new stories, but you wouldn't have to search for the authors anymore. I've no idea if this works with JAWS, but it might help.

Quesla one of the names you have been trying to spell is sacrificedangel I believe, the writer of thea p1. 01, thank you very much for a heads up on that story-line by the way.

here is a link to sacrificedangel's submissions in case you still have trouble finding it http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=869336&page=submissions
