Is there a dermatologist in the audience?

I have this bulge on my back.

The doctor told me to not worry.

He said, "It is just a fat deposit."

I don't care if it is a fat deposit. I don't like a big lump of something on my back.

It is about the size of an yellow egg yolk.

Is there anybody willing to stick a sharp instrument in my back so the fat can escape?

Is that possible?

Lipoma. I removed a small one on my rib cage with a scalpel. Yeah it hurts and I don't recommend it.

The addition of some anesthetic and someone who knows how to suture might mitigate the experience somewhat.

It's simple outpatient surgery. Local anesthetic, cut it out, stitch it up, keep it clean.

Once I made the cut I was disappointed at its reluctance to come out.

You can try to aspirate it. Get a large bore needle, like maybe a 14 gage and a 50cc syringe. Find someone you trust and have them jab it in and try to suck it out. I would suggest a promise of a great blow job, or maybe anal sex as a reward for causing minimal pain. If this does not work then there is always the knife.

I have a larger one in the intercostal area of my left rib cage. It's been there since at least the '90's. The doc told me what it was; I thought for sure it was a tumor. Anyway, I called msN and told her the doc said I had lymphoma and she started crying. Lipoma/lymphoma. They're close. Medicine's not my thing.

Don't be worried

Minor surgery. Lypoma's tend to be slow growing and are, as someone may have mentioned earlier, kind of a fatty tissue that is not cancerous. Depending upon where it is you would have local or general anesthesia - generally local. I've had it done. PM me if you have any personal concerns you may be worried about. Good luck.

Random fact.

I love Mel Brooks & Gene Wilder, but I have never been able to enjoy Young Frankenstein.

Yes, I'm odd. We've covered that many times on the board.

If no one's mentioned it before, you're odd.

That movie is hi-fucking-larious.

Just a lipoma.

Or another tumor.

I had one removed from my forehead a few years ago. Damn thing was painful under my boating and biking helmets.
