Is the "Famous Five" series by Enid Blyton well known in USA?

Dingo_triplesix already dropped the idea, so your rant might have been wasted.

A true rant is never really wasted ;-)

Thanks, SimonDoom. I am with you that LIT could and should implement a more transparent way of communicating the rules. But I am aware of the sites and info you mentioned, also about the underage celebs rule.

The interesting question about this concept is: My story would NOT be about the original cast (so to say), but about completely different people, who were formed and educated to look like the famous five, due to the brainfuck of their father, a crazy millionaire obsessed with the books.

For my understanding this does not fall under the underage celeb prohibition. But as I have decided not to write this one (for other reasons), the answer is not too important to me.

I got a revised Willy Wonka and Cigarette Factory refused for adulting the minors.

No way of rewriting that one.

Hey ho.

I grew up in the UK, and have lived n the USA for 26 years.

The Famous Five series is virtually unknown here.

Ditto the Secret Seven, Noddy, and other Blyton classics.
