Technically phone sex cannot be classified as infidelity - certainly not in a court of law anyway. But if it's furtively done (not telling him/her) then it must be wrong or dangerous or both.
If you have got into phone sex is it...

a) Purely fun - a good mutual masturbatory exercise?

or

b) An introduction to something you hope will lead to a full blown affair?

I suspect that there will be a slightly higher percentage who answer a) but I'm curious...

Incidently when I've indulged in phone sex I've found the intimacy grows with each succeeding liason and things have become fraught with problems.

I'm intrigued - what's your opinion - is it harmless?

My online galpal and I have phone sex, sometimes quite often. We got unlimited lost distance cuz of that . I think it does increase the intimancy between two people and if you are prone to emotional attachments outside of your regular relationship, I can see where it could cause you problems. Hubby and I are very open and honest about things like this, so it's not a problem between us.

I guess it really depends on how YOU feel about it. I go by the rule that if something makes you feel bad or guilty, then you really shouldn't be doing it.

Where do you draw the line on cheating?Could masturbating alone be considered cheating in that you're getting off without your S.O.?I suppose in light of that context,no it isn't cheating.I guess cheating is what you make it out to be-some people rationalize that if all the have is oral sex and hand play with someone other than their S.O. it isn't cheating(I have known folks who thought this way).Maybe the actual physical contact is where the line is drawn but I agree the mental connection could also be said to be cheating,so it's all context.

To him it is cheating but i disagree because it isn't like the person is right in front of me and i am doing him or her right there. I my b/f knows i am cybering and have had phone a few times,and he understands it is just play so no big deal to him.
