Is Naked Sexy?

I skipped on the nude day competiton for precisely this reason. I just can't imagine writing a sex scene where both participants start out naked. It seems to me to wipe out the better part of a wrtten sex scene, geting there.

But that's just me :)

I passed on it for the same reason. "Nude Day" just makes me think of those naked people I saw in the movies with those goofy self-conscious smiles on their faces.

I see from EL's posting of the rules that a Nude Day entry can involve clothing too though, so now I don't know what to think

I think nude day is about the feelings behind exposing flesh to others sights. Even if it's only little flashes of it. Well that's my take on it anyway.

Hmmm ... I really never stopped to ponder the eroticism of "Nude Day" itself. Our characters are just "destined" to meet/greet in the raw.

Ok. Seriously.

I have seen supermodels that were knockouts clothed, but close to repulsive nude. I have seen women that were not all that attractive clothed but nude were so incredibly sexy I could have cum just looking at them.

It depends on the woman. It depends on what she's wearing. More importantly it depends on her attitude towards being nude.

Like everyone else here...it depends. Context matters. Who it is matters. There are large numbers of people who I would prefer never to see without lots of clothes on. And parkas over those clothes. Please!

Even "attractive" naked people can be naked without being sexy.

Since I've been writing porn, I've become a student of women's clothes. Before that I think I was like most men and never went beyond the elementary level of "I-can-relax-she's-wearing-jeans" or "Uh-oh: I should have brought a gift."

But now the things women say with their clothes, the things they don't say, how they play with the things they say and don't say, just fascinate me. A naked person is pretty much a naked person, but you can add such richness of character to a story by describing her clothes.

Fashion is a game you get sucked into whether you want to play or not. Even not making a statement is making a statement.

You'd think it might rub off, but no. I can appreciate the clothes they women wear, but at heart I'm still a Lurex man (and what a great name for a fabric!) The clothes I wear myself don't really say anything. They just kind of mutter.

I've been thinking about this a lot since you posted the thread, Dr. M and I think this is what I've come up with. Out and about, on the street and before foreplay, clothing is way sexier. I have a mild lingerie fetish; I love to get dressed up under my clothes and then reveal the look a little at a time. I like the way I look in a bra better than bare chested. And I like to see other women dressed as well.

However, when it's time to have sex, I want to be naked, and I want my partner that way. I want to feel the full expanse of flesh on flesh, skin to skin contact. I want my partner's sweat to roll down my body, I want to cover their face and thighs with my scent.

As I said before it all depends on the situation. If I'm on a nude beach then nudity isn't erotic. (Don't get me wrong, if she's good looking then I'm going to look, it just isn't that erotic is all.) If I'm not on a nude beach and a woman, be it my wife or another who is good looking to me, walked up and is nude then yes it is going to be erotic.

If I'm at home and my wife steps out of the shower and walks past then while I may look, it isn't erotic. If on the other hand she steps out of the shower and while walking past tells me she is going to fuck my brains out later on, then hell yes it's erotic.

In many cases just a bit of clothing can be highly erotic. It leaves something to the imagination. That being said I still prefer nudity to clothing, even if the person is worse looking than I am there is something to redeem them. (Hey I just scare kids into eating their vegetables, some people can make a dog walk backwards.)

I've heard that some men like the woman to keep her panties on, and just push them aside. Is that true?

What's sexy about keeping some clothes on, I think, is that there's a feeling of furtive, naughty sex. As if there wasn't time to fully undress, or we just couldn't stand to wait that long. There's also something erotic about being naked with a fully clothed man. Eventually, his clothes will come off too, but there's an element of power exchange when one partner is clothed and the other is exposed.

From a woman's perspective, the lingering item of clothing should not be his socks...Although, I suppose socks could be fun if they inspire a game of "Low Budget Porn Flick Auditions."
