Is love a Lie?

Is love a lie? Dolf's sig line reminded me of it. There's that love in the beginning where you are just happy to hear the other person breath on the other end of the phone line and saying nothing. Holding hands and spooning. Not caring what you are doing as long as it's together. Falling asleep in her lap while she strokes your hair. Young love is temporary and fleeting. Is that a lie or pure innocence? I'll have the next stages if this thread goes anywhere.

I think you right about the chemicals in the first place but after you've done a drug a few times you get use to the high and recognize it for what it is. Sex is one hell of a drug but we get used to that too. I spent my time as a manwhore and figured out that wasn't love.

I would rather love and be loved than be in love or have someone in love with me.

A lot of people mistake being in lust for being in love, not that being in lust is bad, its just not love. Perhaps eventually you may grow to love your object of desire, who knows...

Over the past few years I have watched incredible acts of unconditional love between couples, often terminal situations.
