Some pages just aren't showing, some are. Is it me, or is there some upgrading or other works in progress?

Manu put a notice in the site announcements forum that they're doing some more upgrades tonight.

It's been slow loading for a little while, and the last few hours, almost every time I post it times out, and I have to try again.

We have been working on some major changes to increase the speed of Literotica over the last few weeks, with the most recent upgrades happening last night.

If you are having any problems, or seeing slow loading pages, can you post the errors and URLs where it's happening? For example, is it on the main site or the forum, and does it happen when viewing pages or only when making a post, previewing a post, or something like that? Also, are you getting an error message or is it just not responding at all?

Thank you - all of the info will help me track down any problems related to the ongoing upgrades.

The main problem I'm having, almost every time, is when I try to refresh a page here in the AH.

I get a message from Firefox telling me that they can't load the page, and try again. It invariably works almost immediately the second try.

It has also done the same thing a couple of times when posting replies.

So far, I haven't experienced any problems accessing story pages.

I've noticed that, since yesterday, the icon at the address bar in the forums is no longer the cool-looking Literotica one, but it has reverted to the butt-ugly black&yellow one that usually only appears when browsing the old archives.

Not really a serious issue, but take the ugly thing away. It's hurting my eyes!

I hadn't noticed that until you said something....... Now I see it and yes it's ugly.....

I haven't had any problems this morning.

If anything pages seem to load faster than they used to. And there's rarely been the long pause between clicking on links and the pages they link to loading. This includes the 'Post Reply' button which has been a bit of a pain for a while now.

That's an easy one to fix. Should be resolved now, though you may not see the correct image again until clearing your cache or restarting your browser.

(I have a lot of material regarding that other subject we had in hands - the portuguese translation - but still need to organise it in a way it's understandable to anyone other than me, so I'll let you deal with all these server issues for now and contact you tomorrow or the day after.)
