Is killing an ant bad karma?

Well is it? Ant season has started here an I know these little buggers are going to drive me insane... Two of them just passed by me and I sware I could hear them laughing! I know what they were thinking "You may get one, but you'll never get us all!" Sort of like the ant version of Victor Lazlo...
So... I squished them... is this bad karma? Is there a limit to karma where the death of an insect or bug isn't realy worth enough to bring you negative vibes?
Or is it the negative action of killing that bringsyou those bad vibes?(regaurdless of what you kill)

I have no sympathy when it comes to killing flies in my apartment... None. In fact I take pleasure in waching the lil buggers.. It's about the only time in life I can take joy in being a sick and twisted killing machine.

When ant's have invaded your kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom it is very satisfying to flick and smush the little suckers.

My favorite game is bombarding a group of them in the sink with dish liquid, and watching how they get out of it.

God, I'm evil.

About the karma aspect, I believe some of the ants may come back as spiders, gnats, mosquitos or wasps.

I had a word with Bodhidarma about this, and his reply made some sense. In all honesty, it's worrying about karma that brings you bad karma. You'll notice in Crime and Punishment, the punishment didn't start until the poor fool started worrying. So simply smile as you squish, and you should be fine.

Karma, shmarma! When it comes to fire ants, the little suckers are dead if they are in my sight. They hurt like hell!!

Squishing them is bad karma, but putting out Combat brand Ant bait lays the bad karma on the giant chemical companies and that's a good thing. (it also kills ants by the nestful so you don't have to worry about squishing the little buggers.)
