Some members seem to set great importance to the number of posts they've made.

Why?

Making lots of posts means you've either been here a long time or
you have nothing else to do.

What you say and how it's said has more significance.

This morning I saw this .'you boring cunt',as a reply to a post.

Mig, I checked the boards before posting. Consensus seems to be quantity over quality. One of my professors would have called it the shotgun method.

You could also liken the philosophy of mega-posting to throwing spaghetti on a wall. Something will stick sooner or later. The rest will sink to page 245 quickly enough.

What I have noticed, is that the first 100 are important, cause then you can be AV'd. After that, hitting 500 is a big thing, cause WOW, you have no life. Then, hitting 1000 is a big deal, cause you can title yourself.

And yeah, we have no life. Why else would we be at an erotica site posting about our boring lives?

I have noticed that i post a lot more when i'm tense, and that those posts are far more likely to be to silly game or otherwise fluffy kinda threads. Posting, with its rhythmic flowing of reading/responding, seems to relax me, to calm me in some way.
