I don't think this site is any different to any other place online you might meet someone. The fact is by and large the people I have met online have respected the boundaries I have set. But that doesn't mean I haven't worried a couple of times about them not doing so..

So it depends on the person, like most things in life.

There are nut cases here just like anywhere. I know of several people who have had bad experiences here... it's a crap shoot just like real life. A lot depends on how good you are at really reading between the lines.. not always an easy thing to do online.

If the person will only show themselves from the neck up. Their hair looks like Raggedy Anne's and their Adams Apple is bigger than yours then fake a bad internet signal and block them. Otherwise you should be good.

It all depends on what they are, who sets them and whether or not you also adhere to them, I imagine...This kind of interaction can be seductive and addictive...Over the years I've seen a lot of broken hearts and bitterness caused by all kinds of things...caveat emptor, you may bite off more than you can chew...
