is it possible to have multiple authors for the same story?

I, along with a few other authors, have sort of started work on a big collab project, with the plan being for everyone to write their own separate chapter in a series. SO naturally, the issue we face is how we can submit that. Is there any way for the series to show up on multiple profiles, or just their individual chapters to link to the whole series? If not, the best idea we have is to just open up an account for the series, but would we be able to mention who the writer of each individual chapter is, or link to their respective profiles?

I don't think that's possible. But what you could do is a "Naked Came The Stranger" thing: Write everything under a common pseudonym, create an alt for it, and use your authors page to point people to it, as Ogg has done for his female pseudonym. The authors can also be listed in the story itself, so people searching for the name using the search function can find it.

And, as you pointed out, each chapter could start with the author's name, with a link to that profile. I've never inserted a link into a story, and I don't know if it's possible. But there's a space to give instructions to the moderator, and if you state there that it's link to somewhere else in the site itself, the moderator will probably let it slide. After all, that's how the "Blank Manual" was compiled.

No. You can either set up a new account representing all of you, but then you have to build up a following, or you agree whose account runs the story and acknowledges the others.

OR:

I've done this several times with another writer: agree who runs the whole story; the other writer prepares a short first chapter (the first scene), coordinate publication with Laurel, who publishes the whole story first, so the destination link is available, which she then adds to the bottom of the short version.
