The target of opportunity is thought to have been either Saadam himself, his two sons or senior members of the Iraqi Government, or maybe a mix of all of them were pinpointed by intelligence 45 minutes before the deadline ended.

Bush was informed and he ordered the strike.

The element of surprise was total to everyone and if the intelligence report was correct and the Stealth and Cruise hit the target then...

Perhaps the war is indeed already over!

Especially with the US now having control of the Iraqi State Radio and is able to broadcast to the Iraqi people the allies' side of what's happening...
