Is it illegal to enter the USA without going through a border check point? Or can people legally enter the USA anywhere and any time they like? Perhaps if there is anyone out there that has devoted their life to a study of law we could get a legally correct answer to this mind boggling question.

What about taking up residence in the USA? Can a person legally enter the USA whenever they want and wherever they want and avoid any legal check points? Can such a person just start living in the USA?

I am not a lawyer but as best I can tell that would be an illegal act. Am I wrong about that?

Also, I am curious about entering Mexico. Is it true that people born in the USA can go into Mexico any time and any place they want? Or do they have laws about such matters?

While a lot of silly name calling followed the OP the question is simple and the answer is no. It is clearly illegal to enter the USA without going through legal channels. The OP referred to this as a mind boggling question but I hope everyone was able to understand that calling this basic question mind boggling was sarcasm.

However, while the question is not mind boggling and the simple answer is "NO" I keep hearing talking-heads on fake news saying that the millions of illegals that are trashing this country are NOT illegal. Now that really is mind boggling.

The first instance of entering the country illegally is a 3rd degree misdemeanor. The second time on is a felony. The "talking heads" can run their mouths all they want, but it doesn't change the law. Those who enter illegally are criminals and what's been going on amounts to an invasion.
