Is it cheating?

Well of course you should vote. Everyone is biased anyway. Friends, lovers, spouses, enemies, we all have some of them. :) I read and vote on all my man's stuff. Not always a 5 though, only when deserved.

Vote vote vote, but vote honestly.

:) :rose: It's not cheating, of course, and a lovely sentiment, but if your hubby also votes there is a good chance one or both of those votes might be deleted later on by Laurel.

Your computer's IP number will be registered, and even if you change the login account, she will still know they came from the same place...

IP addresses

I've never quite understood how the Lit people handle two users of the same machine. My lady and I do not get "You have voted twice" messages. On the other hand there is no fixed IP address for us, because our ISP has a range of numbers and assigns them dynamically at login time.

I don't think anybody gets "You have voted twice" messages. When I first came to Lit, before I knew better ;), I voted every time I read a story, regardless of whether I had voted in the past or not. I never received a message about voting twice, but I'm sure the votes were cleaned out later.
